YUKON, Okla. – Mid-Del Public Schools teacher and coach Aaron Todd will focus on communications goals and strategies at the Canadian County Democrats meeting on Monday, September 11 meeting.

Democrats are encouraged to bring laptops, smart phones or other devices to participate the free event from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Yukon Police Department, 100 S. Ranchwood.

Todd is the communications committee chair for the Canadian County Democrats.

He will demonstrate the new web site at http://canadiancodems.org/, which was created by freelance web designer Serena Blaiz to allow volunteers to easily update information.

Todd will also showcase the Democrats’ social media presence, including the new public Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CanadianCoDems/ and Twitter account  https://twitter.com/DemsCounty.

He will take questions and assist Democrats with setting up their social media pages.

“Effective communication is critical to reaching voters, delivering our message and giving Democratic candidates like Michael Brooks-Jimenez the best opportunity to win,” Todd said. “Canadian County does a great job, but we want to do more than send one-way messages to members and volunteers. We want to encourage our supporters to communicate their ideas and concerns in person and online and engage them in strengthening our county party. “

The Canadian County Democrats meet on the second Monday of each month (except December) at the Yukon Police Department training room, 100 S. Ranchwood.
