YUKON, Okla. – Madison Horn, candidate for 5th Congressional District, will speak to the Canadian County Democrats at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 13.

The Democrats meet from 7-8:30 p.m. at Yukon Police Department at 100 S. Ranchwood. Guests are welcome to attend.

A 7th generation Oklahoman from Stilwell, Madison Horn is a proud citizen of the Cherokee nation who grew up working on the family farm beside her father, the local agriculture teacher. Growing up in rural Oklahoma, she learned the power of community and a deep understanding of the issues facing Oklahomans.

Madison Horn started her career in cybersecurity more than 15 years ago.

She defied the odds by leading Siemens Energy’s global cybersecurity practice with a focus on protecting critical infrastructure in an industry where only 7 percent of women hold leadership positions and less than 1 percent lead global practice,

Madison Horn now serves as the chief executive officer of a cybersecurity firm in Oklahoma City.

“As a cybersecurity leader, Madison built a career working to defend American interests,” Tim O’Connor, Canadian County Democrats vice chair, said. “She understands globalization, geopolitics and national security. She will fight to defend us against foreign adversaries, nation-states and terrorist organizations.”

She also educates and guides legislators on cybersecurity and national security policy in an advisory role for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition.

“My decision to run for office was born out of deep frustration with the conduct of current politicians, the continued polarization of our country and the lack of qualified individuals with technological expertise in Congress,” Madison Horn said. “My campaign is rooted in a hope for the future that will only be achieved through accountability, transparency and a desire to unite people regardless of political parties.”

“This race will be tough, but nothing in my life has come without a fight,” Madison Horn said on her website at https://madisonhorn.com. “I got in this race because it’s time politicians gave a damn about Oklahoma, and I won’t give up until the job is done.”
