Canadian County Democrats to launch Effective Voter Advocacy series January 14

YUKON, Okla. –Jody Harlan will launch the Canadian County Democrats new grassroots Effective Voter Advocacy series at the organization’s first meeting of the year on Monday, January 14.

Harlan is chair of the organization.

The goals of the educational series are to inform voters about government and public policy and encourage their active participation in their government at every level.

Seating is first come, first served for the free meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Yukon Police Department, 100 S. Ranchwood.

“Our top volunteers suggested that civic engagement would be a great theme for 2019,” Harlan said. “We are looking forward to a great speakers and interactive meetings throughout the year.”

Information will also be available about upcoming school board and city council elections.
