Senator Michael Brooks to speak to Canadian County Democrats November 8
YUKON, Okla. — State Senator Michael Brooks will kick off his 2022 re-election campaign in Canadian County as the featured speaker at the Canadian County Democrats’ meeting on Monday, November 8.
Senator Brooks serves the people of Senate District 44, which includes Mustang and south Oklahoma City.
The Democrats’ meeting will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. in the training room at the Yukon Police Department, 100 S. Ranchwood Boulevard.

Senator Brooks is an attorney and small business owner who took office following a special election in 2017.
In 2018, he was the only legislative candidate in Canadian County who did not have an opponent and was automatically re-elected to the Senate.
Senator Brooks is member of the Senate appropriations; judiciary; public safety; retirement and insurance; business, commerce and tourism committees; and select committee on redistricting.
“We ae honored to have Senator Brooks speak to us again on November 8th and encourage potential candidates to join us for insight into how Democrats can run successful campaigns and win in Oklahoma,” Canadian County Chair Jody Harlan said.
Senator Brooks earned a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
He and his wife Jessica have two children. The family lives in Canadian County and attends St. James Catholic Church in south Oklahoma City.
The Canadian County Democrats meet at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month, except December, at the Yukon Police Department, 100 S. Ranchwood.
On Monday, December 13, the Democrats will gather at 7 p.m. at a pavilion near the entrance to Freedom Trail Park, 2101 S. Holly Avenue in Yukon, for refreshments and a walk through the holiday lights.
