Oklahoma’s Authorized Rep for Harris campaign to speak to Canadian County Democrats August 12

YUKON, Okla. – Jeff Berrong, who has served as Oklahoma’s authorized representative for the Biden and Harris presidential campaigns, will speak to the Canadian County Democrats from 7-8:30 p.m. on Monday, August 12.

The Democrats regularly meet on the second Monday of each month except December at the Yukon Police Department, 100 S. Ranchwood.

In his volunteer capacity as the Oklahoma authorized representative, Berrong has represented the campaign during the delegate selection process and also serves as the delegate whip lead for Oklahoma’s delegation to the Democratic National Convention.

Berrong was elected as a pledged Biden delegate from the Third Congressional District to the 2020 and 2024 Democratic National Conventions.

He was the Democratic candidate for the Oklahoma State Senate District 38 seat in 2018.

Berrong is currently chair of the Oklahoma Policy Institute Board of Directors and chair of the Custer County Democratic Party.

He served on the Oklahoma Democratic Party Resolutions Committee in 2023 and was the primary author of the 2023 ODP platform that was approved at State Convention.

Before returning home to western Oklahoma in 2006, Berrong served on both the campaign and congressional staffs of former Oklahoma Congressman Dan Boren.

He is a third-generation co-owner of his family’s independent insurance agency, Ed Berrong Insurance Agency, Inc.

The agency has been in business since 1948 and now has locations in Weatherford and Edmond.

Berrong is very involved in his community where he has served on the board of directors of the Great Plains Family YMCA, the Weatherford Industrial Trust, the Weatherford Rotary Club, the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, and the Weatherford Area Economic Development Foundation.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2004.

“Jeff has enjoyed a lifelong interest in public policy, government, history, and politics,” Canadian County Democrats Secretary Shirley Burton said. “We are looking forward to his presentation on August 12.

Berrong resides in Weatherford with his wife Jill and their young sons Jack & Jace.
