Public invited to free seminar on Social Security benefits May 13
YUKON, Okla. – Dennis Purifoy will offer a free seminar focusing on Social Security benefits at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 13 at the Yukon Police Department located at 100 S. Ranchwood Boulevard.
The public is invited to attend the presentation, which is hosted by the Canadian County Democrats.
Attendees do not need reservations, but seating is limited.
Purifoy worked for the Social Security Administration for 40 years and retired as the manager of the Moore District Office. During his career, he made hundreds of presentations about Social Security benefits.
He was a Social Security consultant after retirement.
Purifoy will cover options people about and when to file for Social Security benefits and frequently asked questions. He will also talk about the future solvency of Social Security and answer questions from the audience.”
Purifoy is a native Oklahoman who has lived in Yukon for more than 26 years.”
For those with questions who cannot attend, Purifoy said, “I usually refer people to the Senior Health Insurance Counseling Program (SHIP), under the State Insurance Commissioner.”
