Lieutenant governor candidate Dr. Kelly Forbes to speak to Canadian County Democrats August 10
CANADIAN COUNTY, Oklahoma –A stronger Oklahoma economy tops the priority list for Dr. Kelly Forbes for Lieutenant Governor who will be the Canadian County Democrats’ featured speaker at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 10.
The Democrats meet at Canadian Valley Technology Center at 6550 S. E. Highway 66 just five miles west of Yukon in El Reno. The public is invited to use the east entrance on the south side and go to meeting room 2A/2B.
A small business owner, Dr. Forbes now helps schools and communities navigate the complexities of education and government bureaucracy as owner of Kelly B’s Consulting.
A fluent Spanish speaker, he has served as a classroom teacher, school administrator, federal programs director, dual language education director and an adjunct professor. He has supported students, parents and teachers in rural, suburban and urban school districts,

Born in Skiatook, Dr. Forbes earned his degree in Spanish from Oklahoma City University and a master’s degree in bilingual education and administrative leadership from the University of Central Oklahoma. He continued his education with a doctorate in administration and leadership from Southern Nazarene University.
The Canadian County Democrats meet at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month except December when they have a holiday party.
